Not long ago, an acquaintance looking to live near the beach in Southern CA asked me what I thought about living near the San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant, specifically if I myself would live there? Yes, I would actually and no, I would not live in fear of some sort of Three-Mile Island meltdown or something really serious like the melt-through that occurred after the big Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami.
